INDUSTRY YOGA
About Us
We believe that yoga can be accessible to every body and can serve as a powerful tool to increase connection to yourself, as well as the community around you. Yoga can provide tools to carry "off the mat" through the integration of physical postures (asanas), mindfulness (present moment awareness) and pranayama (focus on the breath). Yoga is a process of continuously returning to oneself, by promoting increased insight, acceptance, gratitude and curiosity. We spend much of our lives in our "head" and very little time within our physical bodies-yoga provides a unique opportunity to connect to our physical selves and break from the constant chitter chatter. If you are searching for an integrative, vinyasa-based yoga class for all levels please join us- we would love to practice with you!

Why Us?
Anatomy Based
Every body is different and unique. Our yoga cues and sequences focus on promoting inclusivity while providing a safe and effective practice that is supportive and empowering.
Mindfulness Infused
This is not your "bootcamp" style yoga. Our classes aim to infuse mindfulness and present-moment awareness throughout the practice with a warm up, core "flow", and a wind-down to support your physical and mental balance.
Personal and Welcoming
Finding time for self-care can be a challenge, but joining a community of individuals in a supportive and inclusive space makes it easier. We look forward to meeting you and sharing in practice together.
Restorative and Functional
Prolonged and excessive periods of sitting and repetitive movements along with chronic stress can negatively impact our physical and emotional bodies. Our integrative practice will include strengthening and energizing movements with restorative postures to balance physical and mental energies.

Meet Julija Stelmokas
![team](/img/IMG_4926.jpg)
Julija ("Julia") has over 15+ years of personal yoga practice and is a certified yoga instructor (CYT-200 hr) with Yoga Medicine. She completed her first yoga class at college on a gym mat (yes, those 3-ft blue ones that slide around) and, at first, she thought that downward dog was impossible. But she returned for the meditative effects that quickly took shape off the mat. Over the years, yoga remained a "stable base" to return to again and again- to gain clarity, cultivate an openness to learning and new experiences, and to gain physical and mental strength and flexibility. She lives in Brooklyn with her family and works as a clinical psychologist at the Brooklyn VA and substitute yoga teacher at Harbor Fitness.
